Sabin

His story

Born in 2001. Sabin’s mother is in jail, where we rescued him from this year – he now lives in our Sankhu home, and is adapting well. His father lives in the village where Sabin grew up, but has no contact with him. Sabin visits his mother in prison once a year during Dasain (October).

His personality

Sabin is a very smart and talkative and always seems to be having fun around the home. He enjoys playing football and cricket, reading story books and drawing about nature. He is also studying very hard – his favorite subject is Nepali. Like his best friendĀ Rajib, he wants to be a helicopter pilot when he grows up.

Update 2012

It was a pleasure to spend time with Sabin as I had not met him earlier. He is a lovely sociable boy who was happy to give me lots of cuddles. He is very active with great hand-eye co-ordination. I played football with him and was impressed with his dodging and weaving. Sabin is doing well at school, achieving average results in his latest exams. I was really pleased with the way he has settled into the home. He gets on well with all the kids and is great at looking after those younger than him.

Sponsorship:

Sabin is sponsored by Anna and Danny Tomsett from NZ with their children Joshua, Benjamin, Jaxon and Hope.
