FCH Directors

Amanda

Amanda and Sarita

Amanda Kyne is the off-shore director of FCH who willingly gives her time and energy to make FCH a great home for children and a rewarding experience for sponsors.

Amanda keeps in daily contact with the staff and organises the finances and sponsorship.

She works closely with Indira (the director of PA Nepal) and the staff members to ensure the day-to-day decisions of the orphanage put the children first. She is based in New Zealand and visits the home as often as she can.

Nonna Lamponen (Finland) has been involved in the direction of the home since the beginning and continues to oversee the progress.

Amanda and Nonna have set up another programme that sponsors poor Nepalese girls to go to school. They continue to live with their family, but receive an education funded by sponsors. This opportunity enables the girls to avoid working dawn ’til dusk as child labourers and instead gives them a bright future! For more information, please visit: Girls’ Education Nepal.

Leen Lievens (Belgium) has also supported FCH from the beginning by giving commitment and time to the children, particularly in the early stages.

Indira

Indira

Indira Ranamagar is the director of PA Nepal, which assists mainly female prisoners in Nepal by holding workshops, integrating them back into society and looking after their children whilst they are imprisoned.

Indira lives at the FCH home in Naya Bazaar, Kathmandu, but travels frequently to other regions in Nepal to follow up on families, women and children who need financial and emotional assistance. She has won many local and international awards for her highly successful social work in Nepal.

FCH Staff

Santu and Mangali are our two paid staff members who live at the home full-time. These two women lovingly look after the children like mothers.

Santu Didi does the shopping and cooks and cleans for the children. She sleeps in the big girls’ room and is an integral part in keeping the home ordered and peaceful.

Mangali Didi is the chief cook at the home and also washes and cleans. She sleeps in the young boys’ room.

Her daughter Shanti also lives in our home as a sponsored child. Mangali Didi is warm, inviting and delivers cups of tea at just the right time!
